Illinois Valley Branch
Operating out of Evergreen Elementary School, the Illinois Valley branch of the Boys & Girls Club offers a year-round program that is fun and exciting. We hope to develop a permanent Clubhouse in the near future.
A team of dedicated, professional staff, with over 20 years combined service, welcomes on average 130 members each and every day. Our programs and activities focus on 5 core areas including Fine Art, Education, Leadership Development, Health and Life Skills, and Social and Physical Recreation. We supplement our programs and activities with field trips to local museums, swimming pools, hiking and biking trails, libraries and other family destinations.

Who can join? All boys and girls, ages 6 - 18 years of age, can join the Boys & Girls Club. Membership allows a youth to visit the Club throughout the year for regular hours and activities.
What has our Club been up to? For the past 4 years the Illinois Valley branch has been developing a yearly fund raising project aimed at keeping the doors to the Club open. We have been successful, but this project will never be done. Through gifts from the Illinois Valley our Club has grown and continues to grow into a very strong, positive and safe program for our valley's youth. As a direct result of our efforts this year a youth from the Illinois Valley, Robert Lowden, was named Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley. Robert will advance to compete at the state Youth of the Year competition on April 3rd in Portland. If you, or someone you know, would like to contact us regarding donations you can call us at 541-592-4771 or email at

After School Hours: Located at Evergreen Elementary School in Cave Junction, our after school program runs Monday through Friday 2:00pm - 6:30pm. We keep our membership fees low at only $40 per school year. The Teen Program consist of special events, dances, field trips, etc. THE CLUB is a new teen initiative developed by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. With the new name and theme of "What do you want to do?" we are giving teens more of a voice and hands on development of our already strong teen program. Teens will be allowed to attend our Evergreen site which will soon be opening a brand new teen room! For information on the middle school extra activities call our Clubhouse number or stop by Evergreen Elementary for a tour. There are other days throughout the year that the Club will be open (ie-when school is closed). That information can be picked up at the Clubhouse.
